Brunel develops global thinkers and we want to build true citizens of the world. With your help, we want to create opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to undertake a global learning experience. Whether a short period of study, volunteering or work placement overseas, help us support students from all backgrounds to fulfil their potential – opening minds and developing their potential.
Brunel has created an international environment on campus, welcoming students from 150 countries. We know the impact of having an overseas experience can be lifechanging in gaining new perspectives and developing skills that will advance education and career opportunities. When compared to students who don't complete a placement overseas, students who go abroad are 9% more likely to gain a 1st or 2:1 degree and 24% less likely to be unemployed. These effects increase when considering students from backgrounds underrepresented in HE.
We want to ensure that regardless of background, eligible Brunel students will have the opportunity of a transformative international experience.
